About Jamie Edwards

Jamie is based in Wrexham, North Wales and has over 28 years of experience in writing winning tenders both in the UK and overseas.

Starting his career in Finland back in 1997 after University in Hull, Jamie quickly progressed to become an accomplished bid writer, initially in the private sector. In 2002, a change of direction saw Jamie work on public sector tenders for the first time, gaining vital experience.  Following a spell working as a specialist for Welsh Government, Jamie continued to develop and refine his craft as a successful bid writer, winning well over £100M of contracts from 2005 to 2014 across a variety of industries.

In 2014, Jamie founded TenderWrite, and established a strong track record of consistent results and deliveries with a diverse client base from construction through to medical incontinence and a whole range of subjects inbetween.  To date, TenderWrite has helped win well over 200 public sector tenders in the UK, with a cumulative value approaching nearly £330M at the last count.

In 2016, Jamie began a partnership with Proactis and Tenders Direct that has been maintained to this day - providing training on their popular series of tender courses, delivered online.  Jamie also provides in-house training for Proactis, and under the TenderWrite banner on a frequent basis.

Closer to home, Jamie has worked with Welsh Government and their Business Wales arm for many years.  Providing bespoke training courses, one to one support on tendering, as well as expert guidance to businesses operating in Wales.  From advice to companies affected by the TATA Steel closure in Port Talbot to working with school bus contractors to raise bid writing standards - Jamie's most recent project in January 2026 included the creation of new bi-lingual webinars on subjects including Social Value, Procurement Act 2023 and maximising the use of Sell2Wales.
