Who We Are

TenderWrite was set up in early 2014 by me – Jamie Edwards. TenderWrite are professional bid writing consultants and I’m an accomplished bid writing trainer with 23 years experience of winning contracts through competitive tendering.  To date, I’ve helped businesses win over £80M of contracts in the public, private and third sectors.

Experience Helps

Since my first role after University in Finland in 1997, I’ve accumulated a wealth of hard-earned real experience in over 25 different industries, working with businesses to improve their success rates by writing compelling tenders.

In the last decade, I’ve also focused on training others which I really enjoy, working with  hundreds of delegates across the UK to improve their own bid writing skills and competence. I’d like to think that I’m respected as one of the leading UK trainers on bid writing, evidenced by having delivered well over 100 courses in recent years for regular clients including Welsh Government and Proactis, one of the largest procurement consultancies. TenderWrite’s training sessions have been given a wealth of fantastic feedback and people have really resonated with my training style and the practical, ‘real-world’ examples I’ve given them.

A Refreshing Approach

I’m a friendly face who helps build confidence in your bid writing teams, providing expert advice, insight and strategy for businesses seeking to improve their success rates.  Working across the UK and overseas, I’ve have added significant value to individuals and businesses through my long-term experience of tendering in the public and private sectors. I’m completely honest in my approach and I’m not afraid to disclose how my past failures when tendering in the early days made me learn new skills and writing techniques in order to improve my own win rate.  My style of approach is a refreshingly easy to understand method when working directly with clients small to large.

Loving To Win!

A world away from bid writing, I’m a well-travelled semi-professional rally co-driver, having competed in over 260 rallies to date in 8 countries including Belgium, Sweden and even New Zealand.  Winning isn’t just reserved for the day job though – I’m a multiple rally champion and event winner, bringing the same good humoured and professional approach to the car as well as the office!

Rae DePaul

Senior Research and Innovation Officer, Cardiff Metropolitan University

“Jamie ran a great training course on our behalf internally which was well received by both our academic and business operations attendees.  We recognised that Jamie has a huge knowledge range when it comes to tendering and bid writing. When we had a key tender to submit recently, who better to turn to for practical, no-nonsense clear advice on how we could improve it prior to submission. All staff involved found Jamie’s involvement to be hugely beneficial and refreshingly frank.  We’d strongly recommend working with Jamie and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again in similar circumstances.”

Background:

Cardiff Metropolitan University first met Jamie by attending a Business Wales bid writing course. Realising they would benefit from an internal version of the course for colleagues, Jamie presented a one day bid writing course for University staff from multiple departments.  More recently, Jamie has provided external critical review consultancy on a key tender submission from the University for the Welsh Government.
